ACS580 frequency converters are presented in the power range from 0.75 to 250 kW and the voltage range from 208 to 480 V. Already at the moment, ACS580 is available in the protection class IP21, and in December 2014 the series will be supplemented with converters in the degree of protection IP55. The updated ACS580 series will be produced in a wall version for capacities of 200-250 kW. Thus, the ABB company reduced the dimensions of the products by 65% compared to its predecessor - the ACS550 series of standard converters. In addition, the dimensions of all sizes of ACS580 (R0-R9) are much more compact than ACS550.
