To ensure water supply in the house and on the site, a pumping station is needed. It is bought when the well  is ready. The station can be installed both near the well and indoors.

What are water pumping stations for the house made of

The factory equipment of the stations may differ slightly. However, there are basic elements that make up any model:

- Hydraulic accumulator - serves to store water that the pump pumps from the well. The component compensates for water hammer, reduces the load on the pump and creates a reserve of water, feeding it into the water supply.

- Pump (centrifugal or vortex) - pumps water from the hydraulic accumulator.

- Hose - connects the two components mentioned above. The part is a rubber sleeve equipped with a metal winding. This design reduces noise and vibrations during station operation.

- Automation - consists of two manometer devices and a pressure switch. The manometer measures the pressure of the liquid that comes out of the station. The relay starts and turns off the pump, depending on the water pressure in the system.

Which pumping station to buy for a well: features of choice

Before buying, you need to carefully study the passport of the well. This document is issued to the plot owner after drilling.

It indicates 4 characteristics:

- depth;

- static liquid level;

- dynamic liquid level;

- well debit;

All these parameters reflect the productivity of the well. Based on them, the expediency of using the pumping station and, if it is still needed, the power of the pump is calculated.

If a well with a depth of 9 meters or more does not produce a volume of liquid of 1.7 cubic meters per hour, then it should be deepened and a station should be purchased, which includes a pump with a remote ejector. Another option is to install deep water pumping equipment.

The power of the pump should be lower than the productivity of the well. A station with a capacity of 4 cubic meters per hour and a pressure of 50 meters is suitable for a family of four. The storage volume can be 24 liters. If water is also needed for watering the garden or there are frequent power outages in the house, a summer pump station with a larger tank, for example, 50 liters, is suitable. The pump performance is calculated based on the ratio of 0.7 cubic meters per one working tap on average. For pumps with a capacity of more than 4 cubic meters per hour, it is necessary to purchase a hydraulic accumulator of at least 50 liters.

What type of pump to choose:

- Without an ejector - energy efficient, works quietly, costs less. Suitable for a depth of up to 9 meters

- With a built-in ejector - it is more expensive, more productive, but also louder. Suitable for mines up to 9 meters deep, installed in a separate room.

- With a removable ejector - suitable for depths up to 45 meters. The suction unit is located directly in the well, so this pump works more quietly. It should be remembered that such equipment is sensitive to pollution and requires protection from silt and sand.
